BUILD A ROCKET created "Skin Defense", a fully custom Fortnite experience developed for L’Oréal Men Expert. Players defend a futuristic skincare lab against “Pimple Monsters” using tools directly inspired by the Derma Control product line. The result: a gamified brand world that blends strategic gameplay with real skincare benefits.
This virtual world activation allowed L’Oréal Men Expert to authentically reach Gen Z and young male gamers where they’re most engaged: inside the game. As a leading gaming agency, BUILD A ROCKET handled the creative concept, in-game experience design, and branded storytelling across all touchpoints.
The campaign was amplified through a Twitch livestream with top creators, a microsite for leaderboard sharing, and an always-on presence in Fortnite Creative.
